Two things that don't fit anywhere into this blog I choose to put right here! :D
- I finished the entire PART B of my TEFL-course and sent it in today! I'm so proud of myself! And yes, nerves are present..
- Also, I ate my first entire kiwi EVER today! (That I can remember at least.)
So, as I have been studying English like crazy over these past couple of weeks, my brain is set to "English". I also found the title would've lost something in translation: "Buzz, bøker og blogger!" Somehow it just doesn't seem right..
Now, is the fact that I keep analyzing these sentences, thinking "Oh, that's Present Perfect Continuous Tense", or "That's Past Perfect" a sign that I have been working too hard? Hehe.. Never mind.. Poor humor. Always present at the end of the day!
I must say though.. I really do enjoy my life at the moment. Even though we have no clue as to when we'll be admitted back to Brazil, or if the rent will be in on time, and the fact that we are newly weds still living at home with mom and dad, I'm just really at peace.
Here's how my day goes:
I get up somewhere between 9 and 11.30 - some days I'm better than others. :) After having decided whether to
A: Dress up really nice and put on my make up
or B: Get my slacks and a big sweater with my hair in a bun
I go in to the kitchen and make myself a nice Herbalife Cappuccino milkshake, or maybe a Tropical Fruit one. They're both really nice!
So, I take my shake and turn to the living room where I light the fire and just snuggle up on the couch with my Bible, and one or two of my oh-so-many books!
At this point I just enjoy the silence.
I'm usually by myself at this hour as the others are at work or asleep. And during this time I just pray for the day to be blessed, that I'll be able to actually understand what I'll be studying, and that I can be a blessing unto others, that sort of thing.. That my friends and family are kept safe and that their day too may be blessed.
Now, why am I sharing this with you? To try to impose on you that I am holy? No. To hit you in the head with the Bible and tell you that you are all sinners? No.
I'm simply telling you this because my faith is an integrated part of who I am. So if I keep this part out, I'm not really being truthful to you or to myself. I'm not ashamed that I believe in Jesus, because it is He that has made me who I am! :) It's not my intent to offend you.
So.. After this snug time on the couch with my Bible, chatting with God and reading a book of my choice, nowadays "100 ways to Simplify your Life" by Joyce Meyer, "God's Psychiatry" by Charles S. Allen and "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers, I stop at around 12 o'clock to continue my studies. And I usually keep on studying until about 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening, with a break to cook and eat dinner with my Loved One somewhere in the middle. :)
I really do recommend the books that I'm reading at the moment!! :D
- "Redeeming Love" is a great novel that revolves around - you've got it - redeeming love! ;)
- The book by Joyce Meyer "100 ways to.." will help you slow down, prioritise and take control over your life so that you may enjoy it.
- And the book about God's Psychiatry talks about some of the Bibles most known passages and shares with you how these teachings are just full of fantastic promises of security and wisdom for a healthier, happier life!
Well, I guess that's about it for the 'Book-part'.. Now for the Buzz-part! (I'll be brief :) )
Ole-Henrik and I went for a lovely walk at Ringshaugstranda Monday night. It didn't last very long though, as I found it to be freeeeezing! :P:D But afterward we went to Hannah and Remi for a surprise visit - and they were surprised indeed! Hehe.. :) We were welcomed in as always, and we had a lovely time playing a couple game - on which I will no longer speak about - and then BUZZ! It is so much fun, and I hope we get a hold of it ourselves! We played until we realised it was now 2 o'clock in the morning and about time to go home.. If you haven't tried it yet, make an effort to do so, and let me know how it goes! Have you ever played buzz?
The 'Blog-part' is really just this:
- I am so grateful to you who comment on my posts, because now I have proof that someone's actually reading my blog! Are you a sneak-reader leaving no comments behind? Please, come out of your sneak-reading closet and post your comments! :D
- I enjoy reading the blogs of my beloved friends, and love to see what you care about and do with your time. Keep up the good work!
- And I'd really like some feedback: Are my posts too long? Is there anything missing in my blog? Please, good or bad, let me know! :D
